Hatty Skinner, MPT, BSc
Physiotherapist

Hatty completed her MPT at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg she worked with with ACL-Reconstruction patients under renowned clinician Dean Kreillaars, and loved helping athletes at events such as the Manitoba Marathon. Hatty had placements in paediatrics and an inner-city trauma ward, as well as in private practice.

She earned her BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, where she wrote an honours thesis on the complimentary effects of exercising outdoors. Hatty was recognized at UW for her exceptional volunteer work, both at the local hospital ER, and as an assistant coach for Cancer Exercise Classes.

Hatty coaches patients to be active participants in their recovery. She believes that the best way to help her patients is through tailoring treatment around their goals, and does so with exercise, manual therapy, and pain education.

Hatty is passionate about lifelong learning. She was the first student in her class to take and pass the Orthopaedic Level 1 exam. Hatty plans to pursue certifications in Acupuncture and Pelvic Floor Treatment in the near future.

When Hatty isn’t at the clinic, she’s likely to be somewhere on the island exploring, camping, or starting a new craft project.

There’s hope

“There’s hope for my knees, which I did not have. Professional and knowledgable. Happy I went in.”
