This fall, a movie about Billie Jean King’s infamous tennis match with Bobby Riggs came out: Battle of the Sexes. And it got us thinking a little about the history of women in sport. This is also the history of gender and social change. It’s also the history of the sports bra.

In her TED talk Billie Jean Kings talks about a range of topics including sport and women getting paid, and the slow march of change, and authenticity in the workplace.

And men come up to me with tears in their eyes. They say, “Billie, I was very young when I saw that match, and now I have a daughter. And I am so happy I saw that as a young man.”
