Speaking about musculo-skeletal injuries to UVic students

I travelled to Royal Jubilee Hospital last week to speak to the Nurse Practitioner students at the University of Victoria…

A wooden mask on a raw wooden pedestal. It is a Coast Salish design, with black, white, grey/blue, and red detailing. There is fur on the top and back of the head, and the snout extends 1-2 feet forward.

Stunning masks and prints at the Legacy Gallery

This stunning wolf mask leaves me speechless. There’s a few days left to see the exhibit downtown at Legacy Art Gallery, “Emerging Through the Fog.” I can’t recommend it strongly enough. It’s so amazing! Prints by Art Thompson and amazing masks, that you can touch and put on, by Hjalmer Wenstob.

A macro shot of a light pink wild rose, with a darker pink bud out of focus in the foreground. Beyond the rose bush is the glass wall of a building, reflecting trees and a cloudy sky.

UVic is blooming beautifully

The roses on campus are looking beautiful as ever!

A woman to the left and a man on a silver ladder to the right are both wearing matching blue long sleeved shirts and tying up a yellow canoe. There are a stack of tied up canoes in the background as well, and we get a glimpse of a glass walled building behind those other boats.

UVic Vikes: Tying Up the Season

It’s the last race of the season, and you think it’s all done, but you have to tie up the hulls. Congratulations UVic Vikes on a great season!

A group of people in blue and white jerseys standing on a green field with tall evergreen trees behind them. In front of them are three poles with hoops standing on the top. The two outer ones are the same height, and the center one is the tallest.

Quidditch Warm-Up

Quidditch team warming up at the start of practice! It’s so awesome what folks do to keep active. Triathlons just aren’t for everyone – and there are so many other choices!

There are three photos here. The one on the bottom is of a blonde woman lying on her right side with her left hand on her hip. She has her left leg in the air, and is stabilizing herself with her right leg on the ground. The one in the top left and top right are of the same woman standing behind a white table with papers and a black coffee mug on it. She is talking with her hands.

Sandy Wilson at UVic: Common Musculoskeletal Injuries

Sandy Wilson on point today during her presentation at the University of Victoria on common musculoskeletal injuries.

A soccer field at dusk with rectangular buildings in the distance. The sun is setting so the horizon still has some sun but the upper part of the sky is dusky blue, and there is a skydiver with their parachute pulled descending from the upper left.

How Do You Get To School?

Here’s a throwback to a UVic Vikes women’s soccer game last fall, when skydivers opened the game with this spectacular midfield landing. School is starting soon. How are you arriving? Photo taken on unceded Lkwungen Territory.

An indoor gym with two rows of light wooden lifting platforms. Each has a metal pole on it and there are round black weights in the foreground. Someone is lighting a bar above his head in the distance, he is out of focus.

Missing the Crew

Certainly missing the crew in the gym these days! More fun training together!
